Friends Birthday

On Saturday I went out for dinner with friend to celebrate her 26th birthday. She invited some of her other friends and it was the first time we meet . Her friends were really nice and friendly and really big eater too lol. We went to an all you can eat Japanese restaurant in Richmond which was next to this mall called Parker Place. The food there was pretty decent. I would have expected better if it was not all you can eat.. as i know a lot of all you can eat places are either the food is not so fresh and good or it just decent .. so i didn't expected much from the meal... But wow are my friend's friend big eater . They order so much food ... a little called crazy LOL

So my friend is a big Raymond lam fung fan .. if you dont know hes a hk actor and singer. So I made her a birthday card and on it I glue on some pics of lam fung and also order her a really yummy mix fruit cake with a picture of lam fung on it.. the picture was made out of chocolate..... The cake look so nice... This place where I order the cake was the only place where I find the mix fruit cake yummy.. other place the cake taste so horrible with too much cream....

Any ways so I didn't take any pics of the card but i record a video before hand of the card I made. In the video I also showed another card i made which was for my mom. It was my first time making pop up card and it turn out better then i thought... and I was really happy my friend like it ... due to my camera broken and sent to fix I record the video with my phone. the
quality was horrible sorry :(






Heres few picture of the yummy cake .... It was actually pretty expensive for an 8 inch cake but I guess it was worth it cause it turn out so nice with the fung pic and the cake was so yummy

How to Make Sushi

Its weird how I am making 2 blog post in one day but actually the previous post was posted around 12 am and at that time I still haven't gone to bed yet so I still consider the post to be the day before and not a post of today ...

Any ways today I made sushi for the first time and it turn out better then i thought but i know there was still some stuff i could have done better. It was so simple to make the California roll. I know you guys can make it at home too in 4 simple steps . Let me teach you guys how to make it

Step 1. Cook some sushi or jap. rice in your rice cooker . After rice is cooked, in a small bowl mix together ½ cup of rice vinegar(for 3 cup rice), 2 tablespoons of sugar and 2 teaspoons of salt. Pour mixture on rice and use a paddle and stir well.

Step 2. Cut up ingredients needed to make your sushi. Since i made California roll today I will need avocado, cucumber, crab sticks. Cut everything into thin strips or sticks and put it aside

Step 3 . Time to make the roll .
A. Take a nori sheet, and break it in half. Place one half on the bamboo mat, with the shiny side facing down and cover with rice.After sprinkle some roasted sesame seeds over the rice.
B. Put a piece of plastic wrap over the rice to prevent it from sticking and flip it over.
C. Line up all the ingredient starting of with the crab sticks then 1-2 cucumber sticks, and 1-2 avocado slices.

Step 4. Roll up the sushi and cut into piece. ENJOY!!!!!!



The Wonderful California roll I made today. I also made some adding some tuna mayo into it and it turn out really good .. Yummy :)

What a day !!!!

Last week I went with my friend to a hair salon and we both got our hair cut. The place we went to was called Red Hill . This place is actually pretty popular among the people living here in Vancouver. Its a Chinese hair salon. Price is cheap and hair cut is pretty decent... Normally I would go to Japanese salon but their price are bit on the expensive side so I decided to come here since my friend want to come and give it a try. Actually I have been here before long long time ago and at that time I end up getting a pretty bad hair cut. This time I was pretty pleased .. maybe cause i already has a good style and only want the stylist to trim and layer bit of my hair

After getting a hair cut me and my friend went out to eat. I was pleased with the meal. It was at a Japanese restaurant near my house. I actually knew about this place for quit some time now. I always pass by it on bus but never gave it a try. My friend brought 3 coupon online so she wanted to go there and give it a try. The food came out pretty good and the price was really cheap too thanks to those coupon we used . Originally the price was $32.59 but after using the coupons it only came to $6.50. Wow Iwas surprised that it came out so cheap. I am sure next time I will come back to this restaurant.

I think this day turn out to be a really good day. Got my eyebrow done. (Actually I never like doing my eyebrows cause i find it too painful but since my friend wanted to go i went with her.. I just suck in the pain.. but thinking about it.. its not really that painful lol) Got a nice hair cut for a good price.. Ate yummy Jap. food for a really cheap price... Brought a hair straightener and some heat protect spray .. Now i can keep my hair nice everyday.... And also got some Jap. hair dye

The only FML thing that happens to me that day was my camera broke. This video you see me post today was my last video before my camera stoped working.. This camera lasted just a year and now its broken . How sad. I was going to send it back to Sony thinking it was still under warranty but Aug 30 marks the one year point. If my parents find out I will be in big trouble. So I had to get it fix no matter what. With the tax and fee it actually cost me 70 dollar to fix it and shipping fee was expensive too.. but thinking about it . it still cheaper to fix it then buy a new or used camera even on ebay. I actually don't like Sony camera. For me Canon is still the best. My dad brought this camera only cause it was on sale and price was cheap. In my point of view I thought it was lame.

Yummy Food !!!

I love food.... Eating is probably one of my fav. things to do. Going out and have a yummy delicious meal whether it's cheap or expensive. Sometimes I like to dig around and look for place that have really yummy food for a really cheap affordable price. I also like watching cooking shows seeing people cook and going around to different places trying out food.. How I wish I was them. But then when it comes to cooking I dont cook much. I would call my self a lazy person. Buy the ingredient and preparing all the ingredient before actually cooking... OMG in my point of view it takes too much work. My family actually think I am pretty good at cooking. They often ask me to cook something yummy for them to eat but i just ignore and say no lol..

I like to bring my camera everywhere i go to capturing all the things i see around me. One thing i take pics of the most are food.. I dont know why ... even people around me ask me why.. Its just cool to capture all the yummy food I had in that meal. Like today went out for dinner with family and had a great meal but my dad thought the dishes were not that good. I didnt bring my camera so had to take pics with my cellphone.... Hope the pics aren't too bad looking

Mid-Autumn Festival

Today is the day we Chinese call 中秋節 The Mid-Autumn Festival. On this day family's gather together and celebrate. We would eat moon cakes and other goods and also play with lanterns . There is so much about what traditionally happens on this day but i dont know much about it lol.....
Didnt really do anything today. thought would have gone out for dinner with family or ate a yummy meal at home but we did nothing... I didnt even have one piece of moon cake.

In this day the moon in the sky is really round and personally I find it really pretty. So i created a banner using the pic i took.... hope it wont look too bad.. Enjoy..... Happy Mid-Autumn Festival Everyone
